POP3 and IMAP email settings
Your desktop email program (like Microsoft Outlook or Apple
Mail) or mobile email app will use either POP3 or IMAP to send and receive the
email. Make sure to use the right server and port settings.
These settings are good for email addresses with any of the
following domains: @att.net, @bellsouth.net, @flash.net, @nvbell.net,
@pacbell.net, prodigy.net, @sbcglobal.net, @snet.net, @swbell.net, or
@wans.net.

Avoid email hiccups
A security upgrade is coming to AT&T email, so if you've
certain email programs or apps, you’ll have to update your settings.
If your program or app is highly affected, be sure to create

To add a POP3/IMAP Personal email account (such as
SBCglobal, Yahoo) with auto set-up, follow these steps:
1.
If adding an account for the first time, open
the Applications tray, touch Email and tap next. (skip down to #4)
2.
If adding multiple accounts, you may already be
in the inbox of your first account when you touch Email. From the inbox of the
email application, press Menu, then more, then touches Accounts to get to the
email account screen.
3.
You will be on the "Your Accounts"
menu. Press the Menu button, and then select Add Account to begin adding a new
email account.
4.
Select account type (select POP3/IMAP4 Account)
5.
Enter your full email address (including the
domain name) and existing password
6.
Touch next (done).
If you are unable to set-up automatically using the steps
above, it is possible you will need to enter your email service provider
settings manually.
Manual Set-up steps for Personal Email (POP3/IMAP4):
Choose Account type (POP3/IMAP4)
Verify any pre-populated info below with Email provider as
right or Delete the pre-populated information in the fields mentioned below and
replace it with the correct email provider's settings. Any incorrect settings
will stop connection with the email server.

Enter Username (usually full User ID &
Domain:"smith@att.net")

Enter Email account Password
·
Enter POP3 incoming server address
·
Choose Security (SSL)
·
Enter the email provider's incoming Port# 995
and press NEXT.
·
The handset will connect to the server if all
the information above is correct.
