How do I change my epic username on ps4

Have you played Fortnite yet? If you haven't, you probably know someone who has, as the game's popularity has exploded over the past year, attracting celebrities, professional athletes and gamers of all ages.

How do I change my epic username on ps4?
The first change of name will be free to all users, and your previous ID will always be available to you to revert back to for free -- but Sony has revealed that name changes will not work for all games.

The problem lies within the fact that instead of assigning players a unique numerical ID which names are then attached to, as most such services do, Sony's system used the name as the unique identifier on the back-end.

This simply means, changing that name without serious changes would make games think you were a new player, as there was nothing in the system originally to tie the two usernames together.

Changing your Epic display name won't affect your PSN, Xbox Live, or Twitch Gamer tags/display names. To change your Twitch, PSN, or Xbox Gamer tag please contact PlayStation live chat, psn live chat, Twitch, Sony, or Microsoft for assistance.

To change your Epic display name:
1.       Visit your account's PERSONAL INFO page.
2.       In the box named DISPLAY NAME, enter your desired new display name.
3.       Scroll to the mid of the page and click SAVE CHANGES.

Note: You can change your display name once every 2 weeks.

When you change your name, you'll have the choice to show your old ID alongside your new one for 30 days, allowing other players to adjust to the change. You've to make this decision right when you change your name and can’t activate or deactivate till the months up.

Sony has a large, multi-tiered list of PS4 games it’s tested for problems related to changing your name. You must definitely check it out before changing your ID, as it may impact something you are currently playing or may want to go back to in the future.

Which platforms are compatible?

If you are a long-time Fortnite player, you'll already be aware of the problems surrounding cross-platform support on the PS4. Historically, PS4 players have only been able to play with PS4, PC, Mac and Mobile players, with no support for competing consoles like the Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
If it won’t works, kindly contact PlayStation network down, ps4 live chat.
